 WELCOME TO AFIDANCE

AFIDANCE promotes health, wellbeing and cultural education through traditional African dance and drumming.

We offer educational workshops, performances and weekly classes to; empower confidence in people, gain knowledge of the importance of this tradition, using the joy and beauty in African music and dance to bring unity to the community.


Weekly Community African Dance Classes and Drumming Classes in Bristol:

Monday Class:

Update:LOCATION CHANGE! We are now at Beehive Centre not ECC.
Dance Africa Beginners Class in Easton with Rubba. The live drumming along with the traditional dances were designed to assist one’s mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing. All levels of dancers are welcome to join. We invite drummers with some or little experience to come along to discover the diversity of rhythms from across Africa.

The Beehive Centre, 19A Stretford Rd, Whitehall, Bristol BS5 7AW

7.30-8.30pm Every Monday

Wednesday Classes:

African Dance Classes are held every Wednesday Night in St Werburgh’s. Beginners class 6-7pm. Intermediate class (Last class before summer break) 7.30-9.00pm

Silver Birch Annexe, Mogg Street, St Werburgh’s Bristol, BS2 9UB

This building is part of St Werburgh’s primary school, yet very important not to use the James Street Entrance for the school, this entrance is on Mogg Street, the gate is on the opposite side of the street to house number 30.
